I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.

Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
